You can see video of NBC reporter Andrea Mitchell on Friday night's "The O'Reilly Factor" here. I watched the video on my DVR Saturday night and I must say that the two quotes highlighted by Mark Finkelstein over at Newsbusters doesn't really do the video justice.

Mitchell on Chris Matthews: "I don't think he's a liberal thinker."

And later: "I don't feel there is bias in what we do at NBC News. And I don't think there's bias in CBS or ABC."

To which I can only say: You've got to be kidding me!?!

Seriously.

First, you can't look at Chris Matthews' work and not believe that he leans left if you have just average intelligence -- Mitchell is smarter than that.

Second, no bias? None? I guess I must've missed out on the tap of the wand you get from the fairy princess as soon as you enter j-school which magically removes bias from your make-up.

Andrea, the current method for trying to defend the journalistic establishment is to admit that journalists by and large lean left, but then you tout their devotion to the journalistic ideal of impartiality and fairness.

Get your story straight -- even though it's not that believable -- it's all that you've got.
