You're kidding me, right?

Mexico is threatening to file lawsuits in U.S. courts if the National Guard does any law enforcement-type duties.

I'm sorry, but this is mad. I understand that the President can't nationalize the National Guard and then put them to work doing law enforcement duties domestically because of the Posse Comitatus Act. However, the Mexican government would be well advised to let the ACLU file the relevant lawsuits on their own -- at least they're Americans complaining about the president's decision. But the Mexican government is going to get nothing but grief if they join in.

I will say that the Mexican government's newfound respect for U.S. law is heartening, maybe they'll stop distributing pamphlets telling their people how to illegally cross the border in the first place.

Illegal immigration is a problem, but the Mexican government is just being a royal pain in the tuckus.
