The San Diego Union-Tribune's Nick Canepa takes Martina Navratilova to task for her anti-American statements. It's worth a read.
My favorite line:
She says decisions here are based on money, and many are, which is why we may be stuffing our Christmas stockings with Martha Stewart license plates. I'm not saying money is the only reason why Navratilova sought asylum, but it had to be right there. I don't know if she's returned the millions she's made. Well, I do know. She hasn't.
If Martina can't tell the difference between real repression and what occurs here in America, then maybe the public schools in Czechoslovakia were as bad as those in American inner cities.
