I’d been joking around for the past few months that the San Diego Union-Tribune newsroom was like a hospice ward — people were just waiting around to die. Well, I was more right than I knew. Today, I found out I was one of the people dying.

So, if you or someone you know is looking for someone with journalism, new media and/or technical skills, I’m available. I’m an expert level InDesign user, so if you need brochures, menus or logos designed, I can do that too.

You can find my resume and samples of my newspaper design work at my portfolio page. I will entertain any and all job offers. I currently live in San Diego, but as of today I’m willing to move anywhere.

Welcome Instapundit readers! If you know anyone who may be hiring for even the smallest thing, let them know about me. In addition to journalism, I’ve also got some substantial technical skills. For the past couple of years I’ve been one of the key people at the Union-Tribune vetting content management systems. From analyzing feature sets to reviewing contract language, I was a key player in a lot of the decision-making (which made today’s layoff a rather large surprise).

I have a resume that is more tech-focused for those who might be looking for someone to do tech support or end-user training that I will put up later tonight.
