Thank you, Democrats

The Democrats selected Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz to be head of the Democratic National Committee—apparently because they wanted an attack dog. Unfortunately, the only thing Wasserman Shultz has been able to sink her teeth into is her own butt. Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-Fla.), the chairwoman of the DNC, ripped into Republican presidential contenders who […]

Republicans wage war on stupid

However, it appears to be a losing battle. Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz, the new chair of the Democratic National Committee, said Thursday morning that Republicans are "anti-woman" and are waging "war on women" in pursuit of an "extremely radical social agenda." What about her Democratic colleagues who voted the same way as Republicans to cut […]

Biden wasn’t available?

Maybe the vice president is rubbing off on President Obama. First, there’s a severe case of jet-lag—three years worth. Yes, he got the year wrong. Heck, he’s in the wrong decade. And then we have him botching the toast to the queen at the state dinner. And Bush 43 was the oaf? The worst he […]

Obama’s war powers

Last Friday marked the 60th day after President Obama committed U.S. military forces in action against Libya. Sixty days is an important number because the War Powers Act requires the President to get congressional authorization within 60 days of committing U.S. forces to military action. There’s some dispute over whether or not the War Powers […]

Every Democrat has a little fascist in them

I can’t make this stuff up. If Bill Clinton had his way, there would be an Internet agency created by the U.S. government or United Nations to debunk malicious rumors that originate and spread online. "I think it would be a legitimate thing to do," Clinton told CNBC in an interview that aired Friday. He […]

Noam stands alone

New York Times columnist Ross Douthat makes an excellent point: Imagine, for a moment, that these were George W. Bush’s policies at work. A quest for regime change in Libya, conducted without even a pro forma request for Congressional approval. A campaign of remote-controlled airstrikes, in which collateral damage is inevitable, carried out inside a […]

Hoystory proposes ‘Do Not Speak’ list for Democrats

The man is stupid. Sen. Charles Schumer is calling for better rail security now that the raid on Osama bin Laden’s compound has turned up plans to attack trains in the U.S. “Anyone, even a member of al-Qaida could purchase a train ticket and board an Amtrak train without so much as a question asked,” […]

Smart move

President Obama invited former President George W. Bush to join him at Ground Zero on Thursday. Bush declined. This is no surprise. Based upon Obama’s habit of denigrating and insulting those he invites to his speeches (see here and here), Bush was wise not to give Obama another opportunity to prove how classless he is.
