Noam stands alone

New York Times columnist Ross Douthat makes an excellent point: Imagine, for a moment, that these were George W. Bush’s policies at work. A quest for regime change in Libya, conducted without even a pro forma request for Congressional approval. A campaign of remote-controlled airstrikes, in which collateral damage is inevitable, carried out inside a […]

Hoystory proposes ‘Do Not Speak’ list for Democrats

The man is stupid. Sen. Charles Schumer is calling for better rail security now that the raid on Osama bin Laden’s compound has turned up plans to attack trains in the U.S. “Anyone, even a member of al-Qaida could purchase a train ticket and board an Amtrak train without so much as a question asked,” […]

Smart move

President Obama invited former President George W. Bush to join him at Ground Zero on Thursday. Bush declined. This is no surprise. Based upon Obama’s habit of denigrating and insulting those he invites to his speeches (see here and here), Bush was wise not to give Obama another opportunity to prove how classless he is.

The end of bin Laden

First things first. I want to give credit to President Barack Obama for making the risky decision of sending in special forces troops to definitively kill Osama bin Laden and recover his body to prove that we actually got the bastard. The easy thing to do would’ve been to turn that compound to rubble using […]

Proper burial for OBL

I'll have a little more to say later tonight about the (delightful) death of Osama bin Laden. For now I want to address the remains of one of the world's most notorious mass murderers. The Obama administration has announced that bin Laden's body was dumped into the sea (think of the pollution!) and handled according […]

Osama bin Laden is dead

Good. We apparently have the body. Are we taking suggestions on what to do with it? I’m thinking put the head on a pike on the White House lawn and wrapping the body in bacon and dropping it in the ocean.
