It seems that the trailer for the upcoming dramatization of the 9/11 attacks, "United 93," has some people upset.
In New York City, where 9/11 remains an open wound, the response was even more dramatic. The AMC Loews theater on Manhattan's Upper West Side took the rare step of pulling the trailer from its screens after several complaints. "One lady was crying," says one of the theater's managers, Kevin Adjodha. "She was saying we shouldn't have [played the trailer]. That this was wrong ... I don't think people are ready for this."
Some people who lost loved ones in the 9/11 terrorist attacks will never be ready for this kind of movie, but the American public needs to see it. The American left has been downplaying the tragedy and its effect on America vis a vis the rest of the world for years. To the Noam Chomskys of the world the terrorists aren't evil, they're just misunderstood. We need to understand what we're doing to make them hate us.
Bolshevik storytelling. There is evil in this world and the elite media's reluctance to show us the horror of that day is a form of brainwashing. Will the day come someday soon when Americans have forgotten the images of people jumping to their deaths from the towers to escape the smoke and flames?
The American people need to be reminded, and here's hoping that films like "United 93" honestly and accurately recount what happened that tragic September day.
Feel something other than aggressive disinterest.
Get upset. Get mad. Get angry.
