Expansion of the Hoystory media empire

The local newspaper, the San Luis Obispo Tribune, has "hired" me as their conservative columnist in an expansion of the Hoystory media empire. Hired in the "you're doing this for free" sense of the word. I'm normally opposed to working for free because that devalues my work product. (I don't want to think about how this blog figures into that equation.)

My debut column can be found here, and is on the city of San Luis Obispo's rental inspection program that is a classic of overbearing government. Anywhere but we're-doing-this-for-your-own-good California it would be an infringement on Fourth Amendment rights to be free from unreasonable searches.

I will occasionally be writing on national politics for The Tribune as well, but most of these columns will focus on local/state topics.

One thing that was cut from my bio there was a brief solicitation for work. I'm currently working as a self-employed consultant and would welcome additional paid  opportunities. You can find my consulting website here.

If you've arrived here after reading my column, feel free to look around.
