Carrying Obama's water

I managed to tolerate a few minutes of NBC's "Meet the Press" this morning and it was just as bad as I remember it. My glance at the unbiased panel showed that it included the Democrat mayor of Atlanta, former Mich. Gov. Granholm, a relatively obscure GOP strategist whose name I don't remember and former "NBC Nightly News" anchor Tom Brokaw.

It just took a few minutes for Brokaw to reveal that he's still in sync with the Democratic Party and anxious to follow their lead on the Benghazi attack that left four Americans dead.

In discussing the issue, Brokaw said that the attack was obviously the result of an intelligence failure and we needed to find out why the intelligence community hadn't warned of the attack. This is the exact same line that Biden had peddled so dishonestly at Thursday night's debate.

The fact of the matter is that the Obama administration had plenty of intelligence that bad things were likely to happen in Benghazi. There had been repeated attacks on Westerners, including the attempted assassination of the British ambassador. Security professionals on the ground had repeatedly requested more forces to protect U.S. personnel and facilities and been denied by the Obama State Department. And it was the anniversary of 9/11. What more intelligence do you need?

Even semi-retired, Brokaw is eager to peddle a discredited narrative because that's what his buddies on the left want him to do.

The mainstream media is still as unapologetically liberal as it ever was.

One comment on “Carrying Obama's water”

  1. Brokaw forgot to point out that the State Department is, in fact, a cog of the intelligence community. I, also, wasn't surprised that no one in the panel really noted that it was either an egregious communication issue reflective of the State Department not communicating with the White House...or just a plain ignoring of evidence by the same White House. Either way...the White House is incompetent of indifferent. Both are unacceptable...and the media knows it.
