Democrats then and now

How times have changed:

John F. Kennedy:

Let every nation know, whether it wishes us well or ill, that we shall pay any price, bear any burden, meet any hardship, support any friend, oppose any foe, in order to assure the survival and the success of liberty.

Barack H. Obama:

Now let me be clear: America cannot and should not seek to impose any system of government on any other country, nor would we presume to choose which party or individual should run a country.

Liberty vs. Tyranny. Democracy vs. Despotism. It apparently doesn't matter anymore.
