Global warming/environment update

Yesterday, Gallup released poll results showing that more Americans than at any time in a decade believe the reporting on global warming is exaggerated. Unfortunately, at 41 percent, skeptics still remain a minority -- even though it is a sizable one.

And skeptics are a minority up with which Al Gore will not put. As The Wall Street Journal reported, the Goracle refused to debate skeptical environmentalist Bjorn Lomborg on whether the money he proposes to spend combating CO2 in the atmosphere might be better spent on clean water for the poor, rather than on Gore-sponsored carbon credits.

All of which prompted a bunch of man-made global warming scaremongers to again double-down on their lies, stating that now that the Earth is cooling (curiously coincidental with a solar minimum) global warming will be even worse than before.

On a somewhat related note: Lomborg has a piece over at City Journal touting the benefits of genetically modified food to help feed the world's poor.
