Muzzammil Hassan, a Muslim who started Bridges TV to promote a better understanding of Muslims, was arrested last week on charges he beheaded his wife.

If you haven't heard this reported on the news, then you're not alone. Granted, using Google News search results as a barometer isn't necessarily the most accurate tool for assessing total media coverage of an issue, but I don't have access to Lexis/Nexis.

A news search of "Muzzammil Hassan beheading" turns up a grand total of 44 hits -- including 37 apparent re-publications of an AP brief.

For comparison, I tried a search using "Ted Haggard sex" on Google News' results and got 739 unique hits and 1,373 news articles in the past month on the disgraced evangelical leader. Remember that his original downfall came more than two years ago.

The media is once again bending over backward to cast Islam in a false (but positive) light. The same media that was too chicken to show the infamous Mohammed cartoons won't tell you about this spokesman for Islam who beheaded his wife.
