Lousy refs

Hoystory Sr. has season tickets to the San Diego State men's basketball team. I attend the games when I can. I attended last Saturday's victory over Utah, but it's things like this that make me wonder if you have to fail an IQ test to be a Mountain West Conference official.

This didn't affect the outcome of the game, but that's a potential four-point swing -- and SDSU was the home team.

This also begs one of the questions that I have pondered much of my professional life: Exactly what does it take to get fired?

  1. "Exactly what does it take to get fired?"

It all depends on where you work. I see people fired on a regular basis here, for petty things (50% unemployment makes for an "employers" market). I also see people keep their jobs when they are embezzling money, and lots of it.

I do not think that employment works the way we assume it should anywhere in the world. There are a lot of factors at play, and job performance is almost always very low on the list.
