I made the mistake of pausing for about 3 seconds as I flipped past MSNBC earlier this evening. Olbermann was talking with Jonathan Alter and noted (correctly) that the gas tax holiday Sen. John McCain and Hillary Clinton had supported was a gimmick.

On the other hand, Olbermann noted that Sen. Barack Obama's "increased" (not "proper") tire inflation call would really work.

Which, of course, is a strawman designed to cover over the silliness of Obama's declaration that if everyone properly inflated their tires it would save as much oil as what we could get from drilling off the coasts.

If there's a tank out there for Obama, Olbermann is undoubtedly in it.
