Fred Barnes is wrong

The Weekly Standard's Fred Barnes on CNN's vetting of questioners during the CNN/YouTube debate from today's "Special Report with Brit Hume."

Well, remember CNN says they're just average Americans that are asking the questions that Americans are interested in. But they had 5,000 people send in tapes and they picked out those 34. And, included in them, were a number of Democratic activists for Obama and for Edwards and this guy [Keith Kerr] for Clinton and so on. And some of them had some very loaded questions. There were also an awful lot of questions trying to stick it to Rudy Giuliani. It was completely different from the Democratic debate.

Wrong, It was exactly the same as the Democratic debate (minus questions trying to stick it to Giuliani) -- that's the problem. CNN let Democratis activists ask questions at the Democratic debate and they let Democratic activists ask questions at the GOP debate.

When are GOP activists going to get to ask some questions?
