Osama bin Laden, Kos diarist

The paying job prevented me from noting this late last week, and I wasn't the only one to make the connection: Osama bin Laden's latest speech sounds like it was cobbled together from the Daily Kos and Huffington Post. Seriously.

Osama praises Noam Chomsky. You know, if you're a Chomsky fan you might want to let the sink in just a bit.

Osama denounces the U.S. for pulling out of Kyoto. Of course, we were never formally part of the Kyoto Treaty, but pay that no mind.

Osama denounces burning "living beings" as being "forbidden in our religion, even if they be small like the ant, so what of man?!" I suppose now that jet fuel doesn't burn people -- only steel (sorry Troothers!) -- and the ones that jumped out of the Twin Towers, well that's OK with Islam.

Osama then denounces capitalism and points out that Islam is a low-tax religion. Sound like any anti-globalist anarchists you know?

To be honest, bin Laden sounds like a nutter. Unfortunately, he's a nutter with followers.

For those interested in a laugh, check out IMAO's artist's rendering of what bin Laden looks like without his beard.
