No excuse

I mentioned last week that at least 25 newspapers, including the Washington Post had declined to publish Berkeley Breathed's "Opus" cartoon these last two Sundays because of its "questionable content." The content in question being the mocking of "radical Islam."

With last week's comic there was a slim possibility that some papers bowed out because the comic contained a subtle sex joke. Well, this week that same excuse won't fly -- there's zilch that is offensive in the comic -- unless you're a humorless radical Muslim.

It started with the Danish cartoons a couple years back and continues today. Too many American media organizations have bought into multiculturalism that states that no minority religion may be mocked -- Christianity and Judaism continue to be fair game.
