Hilarious LA Times promotion

The Los Angeles Times has been paid to promote Tom Cruise's upcoming summer blockbuster The Life and Times of a wacky Scientologist Mission Impossible: 3. To do this promotion they rigged some of their newsracks to play the movie's theme song when opened. Unfortunately, some of the music boxes weren't mounted securely enough and they fell off the inside of the box onto the stack of newspapers.

The boxes are apparently red plastic and have wires protruding from them when this happens.

So yesterday the bomb squad got called out to Santa Clarita and blew up a newsrack.
