Free advice to politicians and attorneys

Never, ever, ever send a “cease-and-desist” demand to a media outlet telling them not to cover a story. It never works, and then the newspaper or television station (or blog) then goes ahead and adds that to the story they were planning to run anyway.

It makes you look desperate and ultimately foolish and impotent.

P.S. Janice Hahn may still win her special election, because there are too many people who are “my party right or wrong” when it comes to politics.

Janet Hahn’s Gang Connections

Think about this for a second: When was the last time a nightly newscast spent 8+ minutes on a single reported story like this? (I’m not talking about spending 30+ minutes on a car chase.) Her cease-and-desist order added a good minute to the run time.

Not smart.
