You’ve heard the lines: “The people vs. the powerful,” “Pro-business court,” “Main St. vs. Wall Street.”

President Obama and the liberal left level these charges whenever a Supreme Court Decision doesn’t go their way.

There’s a case before the Supreme Court right now over whether the family of a girl can sue drug giant Wyeth over a vaccine that they say left their daughter disabled.

Currently, in an effort to protect drug makers from lawsuits and thereby ensure that they continue to make vaccines, the government set up a special court to handle these sorts of cases.

This is a good idea. But it’s also certainly a case of a “big, mean” company squashing the little guy…

And the Obama administration has filed an amicus brief on the drug company’s behalf.

Don’t get me wrong. That’s the proper position from both a legal and policy standpoint.

But it’s also the sort of thing Democrats would demagogue the right for doing.

It’s a transparent political game, and it’s getting old.
